… have been two very intense but also very successful days, thanks to so many people involved!
Yesterday early morning we moved our Open60AAL INNOVATION YACHTS to the commercial harbor of Les Sables d’Olonne where we put down the genoa furler. After lunch the big crane came to take off the mast which worked very smoothly. At night, after the evening “rush hour” when there was less traffic we pushed the mast back to the workshop.
The yacht spent her last hours in the water for this year.
This morning the competent guys from CCI Vendée crane took the yacht out of her element. There were a few manipulation jobs to be done around the keel: disconnect hydraulics, take off the keel fin cover, take out the keel axes etc.
A little bit of cleaning and the great team from Yacht Care Services came with their trailer to bring the Open60AAL back into the shipyard. This “voyage” is never easy because the yacht is quite large and long for the crossroads, roundabouts, street signs, trees etc. But the team did a great and patient job which permitted us to bring the yacht safely into the hangar!
Thank you for the great photos Pedro!
Thanks a lot to all involved persons – you were great and it was a pleasure to work with you :)!!!
