D+4 Change course for the Open60AAL

The wind was strong last night and one of the headsails got ripped off before passing under the hull and getting wrapped around the keel and rudders. Norbert was able to release the sail and limit the damage.
This morning he was sailing along the south west coast of Ireland under reduced sails in strong head winds and 5m swell.

Given the circumstances and the scope of the project – 34,000 MN across the 5 oceans – Norbert has decided to make a stop in order to assess the damage and the opportunity to sail through the Northwest Passage this year.
